Andon Whitehorn:"She was a great artist, it's a shame she left the scene. But I give my best wishes to her and her future."
Saiful Remy Mokhtar:"Emily Gregg took her site down, "A very pathetic webpage", which is kinda sad, cos I like that page, and no way at all as pathetic as she think it is. She's a very talented persons too, she can draw cute characters really well, pretty much perfect for the dojinshis she always pops out with. Anyway, I had planned to do a big tribute page, but it looks like I couldn't do it in constraint of time, so I'll just say this to her, I hope you do well in your chosen profession or things you're doing now Emily Gregg, we'll miss you."
Tep C. Cat:"I stumbled on to her page while checking links for JFG and I really liked what I saw. Her style of art is very eye catching and unique. On her page there are FF7 art she's done, and some funny mangas too! Why she calls her page pathitic, I have no idea, considering I love it. In the future, mangas with her orginal characters? Yep! Sounds cool to me!"
Minako Kenshou:"Late 1997, when I was obsessed with Final Fantasy VII (and Sephiroth ^_^), I was browsing RPGamer's link list, and came across a link to "A very pathetic webpage". Curious about the title, I clicked on the link, and became immersed in the world of fanart. Emily Gregg's art was amazing; it was better then any fanart I'd ever seen before. It was her page that introduced the concept of fanart to me, and the joy that came from creating fanart. I've been drawing anime style artwork ever since. Thank you, Emily Gregg, for being my inspiration, and leading me down the path to becoming the professional artist I am now. ^_^"
John LaRusic w/ Eddie LaRusic: These guys like Emily soo much, they included her in their fanfic, see it here!
Auto:"It's a shame that she stopped her work. She was very talented and there was a lot of fun in her work. "
Karin Rindevall:
I got so sad when she left so I drew a gift for her that I know I'd never get a chance to give to her... this is her gift...
And if she would have it sometime I'd be very glad. :)
And in my sadness I decided to write something nice on a page for her. Even if she won't see it. And if she does see it I would be very happy. And I would want to say that I am sorry if I ain't allowed to use her pics. But I couldn't ask her when she was gone... but if Emily gets here and don't want her art to be here. Just mail me and tell me that. I will remove them from here, Emily. :)
As Aeris she came with a smile of happiness
And as Aeris she left us with sadness
As Aeris she came, with flowers of love
And then she left, left a star above
~From Karin R
I can't remember if she liked Aeris or not, but I just had to write something to that cute Aeris picture she drew. :)
I was a big fan of Emily Gregg. I visited her page everytime I had time to. Her art was so cute and I love them all. :) She had such a speciall style. And her comics/doujinshis just made me laugh so much. I miss them too...
But, now she is gone. And probably happy too. I guess it was hard to be that known at the net and get so many e-mails and g-book signs that was both bad comments and good ones. I am glad if she is happy now. She did at least made me and many many more happy. So now she deserves to rest in happiness...
...but I will always miss her...
and I know there is more who will.
Dan Malone:"I'm just writing because I'd love to see her art again as well. It seems like so long ago that I found her site while in the throes of FFVII über-anticipation and visited it constantly... and eventually spoiled the end of disk 1 for myself. =P It was so sad to watch her site slowly fade to black and finally disappear."
Rick Ahrens:"All I know is that Emily Gregg did some INCREDIBLY cool FF7 fan art. In fact, a Tifa pic she drew is on the banner of the Video Game Music Archive to this very day."
Rock Nothingface:"I remember her. Her art is teh win. FFVII FOREVER MAN X)"
Shannon:"When I first went to her site, I remember I saw this little SD picture of Rude, which I thought was awesome. So I stuck around for a while. Her art was amazing! And her style was great! Shortly after, I started drawing. So I guess her artwork inspired me to start drawing. It's a shame she's gone now, she was such a great artist. She had so much talent. Emily... COME BACK!"
